D.T.Waller & Sons Limited (known as "Wallers
the Butcher") aims at all times to respond promptly
and accurately to orders and supplies with due care
and attention and proven reliability.
However, we deal with perishable products, for which
certain conditions need to apply between ourselves
and our trading partners. These are largely imposed
by the Health & Safety Executive.
Our Terms of Business aim to make it easier for our
trading partners and ourselves to understand what is
required by all parties, in terms of standards,
purchase, supply and payment.
Purchases
Quality and quantity of produce from our suppliers
are required to meet agreed standards. D.T.Waller &
Sons Limited reserves the right to return all produce
which is received in unsatisfactory condition or later
than agreed, without liability for costs incurred in
supply.
Supply
We aim to protect all produce we supply from
deterioration or contamination, in accordance with
"Best Practice" stipulated by the Health & Safety
Executive standards that apply to Retail Butchers in
the UK.
Wherever practicable, produce we supply to external
customers is packed securely and delivered at agreed
times in our own temperature-controlled vans.
Customers accepting deliveries shall be responsible
for the handling, processing and presentation of all
produce following delivery to their premises, or
collection from ours.
Produce which has been accepted by the customer
may not, because it is perishable, be returned later,
other than at the discretion of D.T.Waller & Sons
Limited.
D.T.Waller & Sons Limited cannot be held
responsible for situations when deliveries cannot be
made (responsible person not available on arrival or
premises not accessible, etc.) nor when inadequate
storage nor processing facilities are used. Any
deterioration in quality so caused shall be the
responsibility of the customer.
Where, for reasons beyond our control, produce
ordered is not available or not of agreed quality,
D.T.Waller & Sons Limited shall advise the customer
and, wherever possible, offer substitute produce of
similar quality, or at a lower price, which can be
deemed acceptable at the customer's discretion.
Payment
Payment for orders may be made by Cash, Credit
Card, Cheque or Banker's draft. Orders shall be
despatched immediately Cheques have been credited
or cleared.
Invoices for goods supplied shall be paid nett within
14 days of delivery. Payments outstanding after this
14-day period shall, at the discretion of D.T.Waller &
Sons Limited, be subject to a surcharge of 5% per
month and an adminstrative charge, which shall be
added to the outstanding cumulative balance.
We also believe that visitors to our website need to be
confident that we are an ethical Family business,
where you deal direct with the Board Directors on all
issues relating to trading agreements.
